Senior advice from day one

CMPC is a principal-led construction commercial consultancy in Auckland, founded in 2021. We work with contractors, subcontractors and asset owners across New Zealand and Australia, and the person you first speak to is the one who does the work.

You deal with the person doing the work

No hand offs to junior staff. The senior lead you speak to is the one who reads your contract and writes your claim.

Both sides of the table

Twenty years with contractors and clients means we know how the other party will read your notice before they do.

Deadlines first

Contract time bars do not wait. Any notice or adjudication deadline is secured before anything else.

Davide Pierli

Principal Consultant

Davide has spent 20 years on the commercial side of EPC, design and build and infrastructure projects, and has run CMPC since 2021. He recently ran the project commercial function on the $80M EPC scope of Kōwhai Park, a 170 MWdc solar farm for Lightsource bp delivered under NEC, certifying progress claims of up to $3M a month. Before that he managed subcontracts on Fletcher's $1B NZ International Convention Centre.

Also the builder of Contract Advisor AI, a web tool for FIDIC and NEC formal notices. For larger engagements, Davide brings in trusted specialists in planning, legal and engineering.

How we work

  1. Review

We first secure any notice deadlines about to expire, then review your documents: the contract, the BOQ and the project records.

  2. Assess

We test the assumptions, map entitlements, risks and dependencies, and put honest ranges on cost and time.

  3. Advise

You get clear options and a recommendation: what changed, why it matters, what to decide and by when.

  4. Deliver

We prepare what is needed and keep it on track, from notices, claims and programmes to reporting, procurement and AI workflows. That can be a single task or an ongoing role for the whole contract, such as Independent Certifier, contract administrator or financial management of claims and invoicing.
